We are a locally owned, full service Credit Bureau,
offering businessesin Central Illinois
a complete line of credit reporting services since 1928.

The Kewanee Credit Bureau was formed by 128 business men and women in 1928.
From 1928 to 1989 is was a co-op, made up of businesses in Henry, Knox and Bureau .

On November 1, 1989, Larry Nelson purchased the Kewanee Credit Bureau and
we became an affiliate of TRW through Credit Data of Illinois.
At that time, we added Putnam and La Salle counties to our service area.
We also subscribed to reports from TransUnion and Equifax.

In 1999 Credit Data of Illinois expanded our territory to twenty counties.

To better identify the many new services and the expanded territory,
we changed our name to KCB Information Services.

Then in 2004, Experian purchased Credit Data of Illinois and
we signed a direct reseller agreement
with Experian and Equifax.
The new agreement gave us access to more products and
services from Experian and Equifax.
Our restriction to 20 counties was removed.
The new agreement allowed us to become resellers for TransUnion and Equifax.

We moved our office from Kewanee to Pekin in 2003.

Among the services we now provide are Consumer Credit Reports,
Employment Credit Reports, Three Bureau Mortgage Reports, Flood Reports,
Illinois State Police Criminal Back Ground Searches,
Nationwide Criminal Searches, Illinois and FBI Fingerprint Searches,
Collection Credit Reports, Social Security Searches and ID Verification Reports.

Over 100 banks and credit unions, over 300 landlords,
a dozen police departments and municipalities pull their reports from us.
We also provide credit reports to several
utilities and Farm Service companies.
